  • Adding meat or bones to the composter causes it to rot.
  • When 4 'green' and 4 'brown' items are added to the composter, and an amount of time based on the climate (the composter prefers medium rainfall) has passed, it will produce compost.
  • Different items have a fertilization value, which can be added to crops or farmland to increase its nutrients.
  • However farmland has no nutrients to start with, and requires none to grow plants.
  • Each crop has a favorite nutrient that it will draw from, replenishing others.
  • Hover over a farmland block or a crop holding a hoe to get its stats.
  • Farmland has nutrients: Nitrogen, Phosphorous, and Potassium (NPK).
  • Tomatoes and Green Beans must have a stick placed manually on the plant in order to grow 2 tall.
  • Wild crops are always mature and spawn with almost no respect to climate.
  • Crops outside of their temperature range by a small amount will not immediately die but will stop growing.
  • Crops temporarily all have the same temperature range (5 to 25 degrees) while we balance them.
  • Crops have no requirement for rainfall, now hydration is informed by the chunk's rainfall value as well as the water placed in world around it.
  • The crops work much like in 1.12 without any intervention from the player, but there's a lot the player can do to speed up growth.
